K Staller & the Rose City Riveters

This week Maria and Justin speak with K Staller from the Rose City Riveters. The Rose City Riveters are the dedicated supporter group of the Portland Thorns FC, in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The Riveters are known for their vibrant displays of support, which include visually striking tifos and stadium activations. They help create the electrifying atmosphere that Providence Park is famous for and significantly contribute to the Thorns' robust home-field advantage. Their name, "Rose City Riveters," pays homage to Portland’s nickname, "The Rose City," and the iconic World War II figure, Rosie the Riveter, symbolizing their strength, unity, and indomitable spirit. The group’s activities extend beyond match days, involving various charitable, social, and advocacy initiatives, thereby weaving a tight-knit community that champions inclusivity, solidarity, and fervent support for women’s soccer.
